Détail du séjour : 8-Day Sossuvlei, Swakopmund & Etosha NP (Camping) - 8 jours

Jour 1: Monday-Airport to Windhoek, Discovery GuestHouse

As soon as you land, Discovery Transfer and Tours will pick you up from the Hosea Kutako International Airport. The airport is 45 km outside Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. It has been a long journey, you will be dropped off at Discovery Guest House. After you have rested, a free township tour will be arranged in the afternoon.

Jour 2: Tuesday- Windhoek-Sossusvlei

We will pick you up from your Hotel or Guesthouse between 7am and 8am and depart at 8:45am straight on the way south to world-famous Sossusvlei via picturesque Spreetshoogte Pass. We will then have a Stop-over at the view point to appreciate endless view of the Namib. Our lunch at the Solitaire oasis. We will arrive at the lodge or campsite around 3-4 pm. This time is extremely hot, we recommend that you spend the day cooling off by the pool. Early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake early in the morning

Jour 3: Wednesday- Sossusvlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Dead Vlei & Sesriem

Early in the morning, at sunrise, we will visit the Sesriem Gate to the remarkable Sossusvlei. We start off with climbing picturesque Dune 45, experiencing beauty and vastness of the orange-coloured landscape. Off-road drive to the Dead Vlei, a place of the vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent in the impressive, open-air gallery. If you have enough energy, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the ‚Big Daddy ‘or ‚Big Mama. After the morning excursion, we will return back to Sesriem for lunch. We will take a break for 1-2 hours. Once the heat subsides, we will take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. This will be our last activities for the day.

Jour 4: Thursday-Sossusvlei-Walvis Bay & Swakopmund

Namibia is a country of contrasts. Today we will move from desert to sea. On our way we will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse the Gaub and the Kuiseb passes, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing up the other side and watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us. Having arrived at the coast, we will make a stop in Walvis Bay to enjoy the view of flamingos and other birds in the lagoons. We overnight in Swakopmund. Dinner tonight is at the client's own expense in a local restaura

Jour 5: Friday- Swakopmund Area

In the morning we will go on an excursion to the seal colony at Cape Cross, north of Swakopmund, where we will be able to experience thousands of fur seals at close range. The rest of the day will be free with plenty of time to explore the town. Swakopmund is a very pleasant seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic is quite cold here) and an open-air curio market. There is also a very good museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged. These include a boat-tour (with oysters and champagne) scenic flights and micro-light flights over the desert, fishing trips (either from the beach or in a boat), quad-bike trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sandboarding, skydiving and many other activities. Your guide will discuss all the possible optional activities with you and offer to make pre-bookings in advance. safari and will be at the client’s own expense.

Jour 6: Saturday-Swakopmund-Etosha National Park

You will be collected from your hotel between 08:00 and 08:30. We have a long drive today. On our way we will stop in Usakos/Omaruru to fill up with petrol and provisions. We will have a picnic lunch in Outjo. We are expected to arrive in Etosha in the afternoon. We will drive through some parts of the National park in search of various games. We will be at our respective accommodation just before sunset. Dinner will sum-up the adventure and rest will be required so that we can be able to wake up early and fresh for the full day game drive tomorrow.

Jour 7: Sunday-Etosha National Park

You will rise early and soon after breakfast starts your full-day game drive in Etosha National Park. The early morning hours provide time for magnificent exploration as you visit the waterholes. You will get to visit the Etosha pan (salt pan) before game driving across the park in search of the “Big 4” and other animal species. A light lunch will be provided and allow you some time rest, gathering energy for your next adventure. After lunch and some rest and relaxation, you will visit the last waterholes that will be the last appreciation of Namibia’s beauty. Before sunset, you will head back to the lodge for dinner where you can share stories of your experiences of the day and also share and compare beautiful photos. After a night of stories and photos.

Jour 8: Monday- Etosha-Windhoek

Be prepared for the long, scenic transit back to Windhoek. We pass through towns and rural areas, stopping in the small town of Okahandja, the home of Namibia’s largest wood carving market. The stalls operate on a local co-operative basis and offer a vast array of truly Namibian souvenirs. We are back in Windhoek in the afternoon not later than 16:00 hour. You will be dropped off at your accommodation. For those who are returning back to their respective countries, please arrange with the guide so that you can drive as early as possible.
